I would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I live and work. I pay my deepest respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and honour their ongoing connection to this land, its stories, culture and community.
So much of my work is about creating spaces where women feel safe to talk openly - whether that is in the salon, through mentoring, or in the conversations I have with industry professionals. I am mindful that the opportunity to do this, to gather, connect and share stories, exists on land that was never ceded.
I hold deep respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and for the strength, resilience and wisdom they continue to bring to the communities we are all part of today.
